IB Overview

IB Vision
The International Baccalaureate vision is to develop internationally-minded students who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

Engage Middle Years Programme (MYP) students with challeging lessons and opportunities to think critically and demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways, focusing on the five areas of internaction and the reflections based on their learning experience.

IB Goals
 Give MYP students the opportunies to participate in activities that involve visual and performing arts, technology, career / real-world connections, community service, project-based learning, and multicultural experiences.

Engage students as lifelong learners by developing socially relevant cross-curricular understanding and opportunities for meaningful particpation before, during, and after school.

IB Learner Profile
IB learners strive to be inquirerers, thinkers, communicators, and risk-takers.  IB learners are described as knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, caring balanced and reflective.  The goal of Borel Middle School is to implement the International Baccalaureate philosophy through offered programs and curriculum delivery.
