EventsTable Top Luncheon
The annual Table Top Design Luncheon is a highlight for Borel parents. In the spring, the Borel Library is transformed into a beautiful dining room, where round dining tables seating 8 are uniquely presented using creative and imaginative designs. The themes range from Western to modern art to nautical, and some table designers have even honored Borel faculty and staff by immortalizing them as table decorations. Each year our parent designers create stunning dining experiences. Along with a buffet lunch, attendees are treated to two fashion shows! CAbi presents their spring line with our teachers as models, and donates a portion of their proceeds to Borel. Our students model “What’s Cool for School!” showing their favorite outfits from their own collections. A Silent Auction with great things offered rounds out the day. The Table Top Design Luncheon is a major fundraiser for Borel, and the proceeds benefit student programs on campus.
Progressive in the Park
The Progressive in the Park was a new fundraiser this year. It was an event to be remembed and repeated, again and again! The idea behind this event was to bring all Borel families together, especially new families to mingle and enjoy a warm fall evening in a fun and relaxed way in one of Borel's feeder neighborhoods, San Mateo Park.
Tis the Season
Another new fundraiser to this year's events was the Tis the Season. Borel families got in the holiday spirit while they enjoyed an evening of mingling with friends, sipping fine wines and tasting sumptuous hors d’oeuvres. Oh, and did we mention shopping. There were over 20 vendors there that provided a wide variety of holiday gifts with 20% of the sales benefiting the Borel PTA.
Book Fair
This year our annual book fair fundraiser was held at Barnes and Noble in San Mateo. Borel families had fun shopping for a variety of books and games for friends, relatives and teachers knowing the were able to support the Borel PTA with every purchase.
