Thank you to those who generously donated last year! You made a significant difference in the 2008-09 school year. Our goal this year is to have 100% participation at your comfort level.
The PTA membership drive is Borel’s main fund raiser. With California facing unprecedented education cuts for 2009-2010, we now more than ever need your support to maintain the standard of education our children deserve.
The full cost of operating Borel at its current level is no longer covered by either state or district funding. We are asking each family to donate at the Fair Share level (or at your comfort level). The Fair Share pledge is $350 per student this year. Your contribution will help support the following:
- NEW this year: Staffing Support for Differentiated Instruction
- Librarian Hours to increase: the goal is to return to a full-time position.
- Increase support for small group counseling and campus supervision and safety.
- Continued support of our music program, intramural sports, peer-helping program and student council.
In comparison to other schools nationwide, our children do not receive as much funding as students in other states. It is up to us to ensure our children’s future success. We need your financial help to maintain the academic excellence that the community demands.

- Donate $350 per student. If this is a hardship, please contribute what you can.
- Being a diverse community, if you are able, please consider giving at a higher level than fair share.
- Ask your company to match your donation.
